After Hurricane Helene’s devastating impact on western North Carolina, Off-Road Outreach, in partnership with Watch Out Cumberland County NC and Kind Seeds Project, has been delivering essential supplies and meals to affected residents via a distribution site outside Asheville. The storm caused severe destruction, leaving 77 dead, dozens missing, and over 142,000 still without power, with nearly 100,000 Asheville residents expected to be without water for weeks, CityView reported. With roads impassable and many areas isolated, Off-Road Outreach is working tirelessly to provide relief, assisted by Fayetteville’s Urban Search and Rescue Team and military personnel from Fort Liberty.
